Bill4DogCatcher.com is all about the issues that I wish folks were talking about.

Not rants. Talking. Discussing. Comparing theories and facts and working together to solve the world’s problems … even if it just concerns finding a better way to fix potholes.

My approach is to assume that nobody is right, but that everyone is capable of having a clue. Me too.

If every story has two sides then I will try to present both, and look for a third or a fourth too, should they possibly exist.

Am often agnostic about political parties. People matter and party politics perverts.

Am a progressive conservative — meaning:

  • Minimum government control of our lives and livelihood.
  • Strong fiscal responsibility; tax only as necessary to support necessary programs.
  • Strong national defense. Woe unto anything that crosses us or our path.
  • Strong families and communities, with an emphasis on self-reliance and minimal government involvement in personal freedoms.
  • Free Markets: open and free competition is the most efficient provider of products and services.
  • Government’s role is to mediate when the marketplace fails to serve the general population, or when issues arise where self-regulation fails us.

As a progressive,  I have an open mind and an open heart to new solutions and to new outcomes.

As a conservative, I believe that government should keep out of both your and my business. Unless necessary. “We the people” will decide what necessary is — if my guys do it right then life will be so good that no one will ever think about “necessary”. Stuff happens.

What can be more American than that?!

  1. Hello. I’d vote for you for Dog Catcher, Cat Catcher, or Hog Warden. I like the cut of your jib. These are strange and disturbing times indeed when Gingrich is attacked by conservatives as an apostate. Please visit our site at http://www.centermovement.org. I think you will like what you find.

    Best wishes,
    Stephen

John Gullion gave me your contact information. He stumbled on me on Facebook and decided to say hello. I figured I’d give you a quick hello too.

Interesting website. I have to admit that it follows my own thought processes to a great degree. When I retired in 1996 I was a mistaken and confirmed federalist. As I finished my bachelors degree in business and took some government classes I had a reversal.

Amazing how learning the truth about some things will open your eyes. Of course WE as the analysis professionals should be experts at dragging the truth out of the crap by now.

    Take care buddy.

Although I disagree with you on one or two of your stances, this is the most well written, well thought out blog iI’ve seen in some time. altohugh you are someone a little to the right of me. I’d vote for you. I’ve always said that a smart guy you disagree with is a better choice than an idiot who panders to you.

    • Thanks. My wife says that I need to spend more time working on the house and walking the dogs … so instead of running for election I’m happy with trying to help whomever seems to be one of the good guys. Mileage varies on how things turn out in my choices.

    Bill,
This may sound a silly question, but where did you get your profile pic? Is it your doggie?
This people of this country are going to have to get together to solve problems. Good for you for “Waking and Standing Up”. Politics is getting in the way of solutions.
