ELECTION 2010 | 25% of Obama Voters Leaning Republican / ‘Conservative’ Surges to 54% of Likely Voters as Self-Identification


Nearly two years after putting Obama in the White House, one-quarter
of those who voted for the Democrat are defecting to the GOP or
considering voting against the party in power this fall. Just half of
them say they definitely will show up Nov. 2, according to an
Associated Press-Knowledge Networks poll released two weeks before
Obama’s first midterm elections.

Per a recent Gallup Poll, 54% of likely voters now identify as
‘conservative’. Since 1994, no more than 46% of voters have identified
as ‘conservative’, with 42.5% being the average amount.
